This beaded bracelet is hand threaded on elastic cord, then finished with a silver coloured Hope seal bead by the women and youth of the Batoka Creative's self empowerment group in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The colours of blues, greens, browns, and neutrals are standard on each piece but the patterns created are at random.

By purchasing this product, you are doing so much more than choosing a bracelet. The money earnt from every bracelet sale goes towards the growth of our Girl's Dignity program. In rural Zimbabwe, the girl child has little access to sanitary products, often resorting to rags or even cow dung. Most girls stay home from school during their menstruation and can miss up to a third of the school year, leading to high drop out rates. Through our school sewing circles, we teach girls to sew their own recyclable sanitary pads, providing free hygienic materials that last up to 2 years. Girls learn sewing skills and are encouraged to stay in school and prevent child marriages in these circles.
