This Mchezo basket was handwoven by one of over 600 women artisans who earn fair and reliable incomes with WomenCraft. "Mchezo" means "game" in Swahili, the national language of Tanzania. The Mchezo shape is perfect for storing your childrens' toys but also to keep blankets and other household items. For this specific Mchezo basket, the threads of upcycled white Gunia grain sacks are intricately woven into the natural grasses of the basket. With it’s simple and modern design, this basket will add style and character to your home.
