This Jipi Japa basket is perfect for home decor and organization. The Jipi Japa leaf is a soft type of palm that grows in the state of Campeche. The leaves are divided into smaller threads, then dyed and woven. This family of artisans has been elaborating them through generations. 
It is hard to obtain the exact same color in every dye because it depends on the season the palm was collected, what the weather was, and how the color is absorbed. Also the sizes may vary a little depending on how the hand weaves it and how the palm reacts after. This is what makes these pieces so unique.
