Story

The Dikodougou motif was first woven at Waraniéné in the 1970's and named for the neighboring village of Dikodougou. The playful checked pattern and colorful pattern play with the positive and negative space of the woven plane. Handwoven with raw cotton, this throw has a texture similar to raw silk. With use, the weave will tighten, patina, and soften. These cloths are hand dyed and some transfer onto lighter colors may occur.
