Kap Seramik aims to turn everyday stuff into pleasurable objects. The studio is focused on functional pottery and is especially sought for its ceramic fermentation crocks and "suribachis" (ceramic mortars and pestles). The founder and the maker Deniz Koc is responsible for all the design and production processes -- she works on her potter's wheel and prepares all the glazes from scratch while continually working on sophisticating the forms and creating new works.
