The backpacks are hand-woven by women from the Kankuama indigenous community. Fique comes from a plant called maguey. Manually, the threads are removed, washed and dried to finally be dyed in a natural way with materials such as the chinguisa plant, leaves of the brazil tree, cayenne flower, coconut shell and red onion peel.
