RAW 1 is a side table that seeks to enhance the value of local materials through the use of travertine marble obtained from quarries in the southern highlands of Peru. With the premise of taking full advantage of the material, the proposal is to use the raw edges of the marble slabs that are normally discarded. Understanding the natural extraction process of the stone connects us with its most natural side; the surface that has been in contact with the exterior for thousands of years becomes the main aspect of the design.
