The STELLA YELLOW is inspired by the Op art artist Frank Stella's geometric and striped works. I found that his works resonated with the craft of Rajasthani tie dye called 'Leheriya' and hence I mashed up the two values to create a pattern that boasts of a myriad of colours. The special feature about this design is that it is made entirely out of 2 very basic striped blocks that are rotated in different ways to create the illusionistic stripes and overlays. This is a handmade product. Irregularities are a distinctive part of the design. Each textile is thus, unique with its own little glitches- love them and celebrate them as nuances of the craft.
