Every piece is unique and was created during quarantine, as a way to continue supporting small scale artisans during the pandemic. The circle is hand carved by Felipe in the town of Escárcega. After this wooden piece is done, Milagro de Atocha hand-weaves our Soles in an underground cave in the town of BecalMexci, using jipi-japa fibers. Weaving in caves provides the perfect temperature and humidity for the weaving process.
