The PEELA JAAL SQUARE is inspired by the crumbling peeling walls of the Walled Pink City of Jaipur. The textured ground is created using a special method of printing with dried pigments. The jaali design is inspired by the intricate screens found in old Rajasthani architecture and is glitched to create an intentional hazy effect to the viewer. The frame is decorated with borders inspired by architecture and are rendered in complementary hues to offset the vibrant yellow hue of the ground. This is a handmade product. Irregularities are a distinctive part of the design. Each textile is thus, unique with its own little glitches - love them and celebrate them as nuances of the craft.
