A fresh approach to an otherwise jaded angle Kona - as in angled - is characterized by angled patterns, triangle and quadrangle. Inspired by the inlay work found in the monuments of medieval India, the design has been deconstructed to retain only the essence of the inspiration in clean bold lines and angles. Finely woven using handspun cotton in the weft, the fabric is soft and translucent, in stark contrast to its "angled" theme.

At Karomi, we made 'design-driven Jamdani'. Jamdani weave has been an integral part of Bengali tradition. Jamdani motifs and designs aren't printed or embroidered, rather are woven directly on the loom using the 'extra weft technique'. This technique is passed down from generations through intense practice and discreet instructions followed by Jamdani weavers of Bengal (India).
