Story

This family of bowls was been developed while searching for new markets for the pottery of Tonaltepec which was rapidly declining. These bowls newly developed bowls soon became successful. These bowls come in two sizes which you can use to serve snack or soup or to serve salad on your dining table.

These pottery pieces are among the few in the world that use vegetable pigments for decoration. The dark brown color of the stains is achieved when the bowls are removed  out of the oven, at a temperature close to 900°C. The artisan then applies an ink made from cactus and oak bark.
