Earlier, the toys used to be made by hand, till around 60 years ago. Machines came in later and changed the method, but the essence is the same. The technique of making these colorful toys is handed down from generations. The soft and harmless nature of this wood made it the ideal material for artisans to work with. The main wood used in the manufacture of these toys is free of any chemical treatment. All finishes are non toxic. The toys are finished with Lac which is a natural resin and natural dyes are used for coloring. All finishes are non toxic.
