Story

Heirs of the techniques of their Quillacingas ancestors, the town of Sandoná has become an important artisanal nucleus, where men are in charge of collecting the straw from the Iraca palm, choosing it according to its color and fineness. After drying, bleaching, and in some cases dyeing the fiber, women are engaged in weaving it in family workshops.
