Mitimeth is an award-winning social enterprise with a profound cause-driven mission. They specialize in transforming waste materials and fostering livelihoods for over 150 women and youth in Nigeria through the creative economy. Their overarching vision is to establish thriving maker communities that are both environmentally and economically sustainable, ultimately striving to become the premier choice for natural fiber products in Nigeria. This feat has been achieved through their innovative upcycling of water hyacinth and agricultural residues.

Mitimeth's core passion lies in the design and production of handwoven interior décor, encompassing a wide range of items from home textiles, mirrors, area rugs, lighting, dining-ware, garden-ware, art, stationery, to accent furniture, as well as fashion accessories – all crafted from renewable materials. They also play a vital role in empowering rural communities, particularly women and youth, by organizing craft weaving workshops that create income-generating opportunities using locally available resources. Through collaborations with both the private and public sectors, Mitimeth has successfully trained over 600 individuals from communities in Nigeria and Ghana.
