Part of the Dende Range, this handy little creamer is inspired by the calabash gourds used by the Maasai to store milk. This creamer also features a sgraffito pattern on the side, which is inspired by the traditional patterns engraved by women crafters in the decoration of their clay utensils.

The Dende creamer perfect for serving creams, custards and sauces. It is finished to retain the smooth, matt texture of the fired clay on the outside, and glazed inside to ensure that the carafe is not too porous for use with liquids.

Made using the slip casting method of production, the Dende creamers are individually hand finished by our talented artisans in our Johannesburg studio. We use the finest, chip-resistant casting slips, to ensure that our product is durable, and suitable for frequent use. All glazes are food-safe. All our creamers are hand-crafted, made using the finest casting slips, and fired high to ensure a strong, chip resistant end product. Our creamers are lovingly finished by hand by our talented team of makers in our Johannesburg atelier.All our raw materials and glazes are food-safe and mined and produced locally.
