Our wool rug is flat woven on a traditional pedal loom and hand-made by a family of artisans in Teotitlan del Valle, a village in the region of Oaxaca, Mexico.

We developed this new rug from abstract patterns, organically water colored and inspired by the landscapes and light of Oaxaca. The color-block pattern emulates mountains or waves from the pacific coast. Blending shades of energizing hues: deep indigo, bronze, and earthy colors… Monte will bring a contemporary dimension to your space.

The wool is colored using 100% biodegradable natural dyeing techniques. The pigments are derived from plants, tree bark, nutshell, or flowers; a process passed over generations. The rug is available in Bronze or Natural.
