These slippers are handmade from 100% cotton fibre by local artisans in India using the traditional ikat weaving technique, which uses the resist dyeing technique similar to tie and dye. Either the warp or the weft yarn is dyed and then weaved, when both are dyed and weaved it is called double Ikat. Natural colours are used by the artisans to dye the fabric.
